During the COVID-19 crisis, our neighbors without a home are even more vulnerable, and the services provided by PATH have been deemed essential. Our critical work continues, and in many communities across the state, we have even expanded our programs to meet the increased needs of the people we serve. Most recently, in Los Angeles County, PATH has stepped up to provide support services at two new isolation and quarantine sites with over 400 rooms combined.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the County of Los Angeles created quarantine and isolation sites for those who display symptoms and are awaiting test results, or have tested positive, but have no place to go or the means to self-isolate. Many patients at these quarantine and isolation sites are individuals experiencing homeless, and PATH is working side-by-side with onsite medical professionals to make sure that each guest is supported during their stay.

We are providing case management support and delivering meals and clothing, but more importantly, providing emotional support to guests during this uncertain time. As guests prepare to be discharged, we connect with them with transportation, interim housing, and other agencies so that they are not returning to the streets.

Now more than ever, PATH is providing our neighbors experiencing homelessness with life-saving services. As we work on the front lines during this crisis, we need your help. Please donate today.
