Jennifer Hark Dietz, LCSW

Jennifer, an 18-year advocate for homelessness, veterans, and mental health services, leads PATH’s strategic direction, business management, and person-centered efforts across California. As CEO, she oversees the organization’s statewide initiatives, working alongside 1,400 staff members to establish permanent solutions to homelessness that are faster and more affordable. Under her mission-driven leadership, PATH’s programs have grown by more than 20% annually, expanding operations from $15M to over $180M and reaching 29,000 Californians across 150 cities. Jennifer also partners with PATH Ventures to rapidly expand its housing portfolio, with 2,900 units completed or in the pipeline.
Jennifer’s expertise as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is rooted in her prior role at the Greater Los Angeles Department of Veterans Affairs, where she managed the nation’s largest program providing supportive housing to veterans and their families. She serves on the Los Angeles Regional Community Veterans Engagement Board, the California Interagency Council on Homeless advisory committee and collaborates with Social Justice Partners Los Angeles. Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and anthropology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California, where she also taught as an adjunct lecturer.
